Description
The Nokta Invenio Pro is an advanced smart metal detector and underground imaging system designed to provide more information than conventional metal detectors. Using its integrated IPTU (Integrated Positional Tracking Unit) sensor, the Invenio Pro can display the estimated shape, depth and dimensions of underground metal targets, while also identifying ground anomalies and cavities.
Real-Time Underground Imaging
The Invenio Pro is designed to go beyond basic audio signals and Target ID numbers. Its imaging system provides visual information about detected targets, including their shape, depth and dimensions, helping users analyse underground targets before deciding whether to dig.
IPTU Integrated Positional Tracking Unit
The integrated IPTU sensor tracks the movement and position of the search coil during scanning. This allows the system to record the scanned area and display the location, depth, shape and dimensions of detected targets.
Detect Metals & Ground Anomalies
The Invenio Pro is designed for detecting deep treasures, caches, coins and relics, as well as ground anomalies and cavities such as potential underground caves and tunnels. It provides dedicated scanning modes for both metal detection and ground-anomaly detection.
Multiple Search Modes
The detector offers three non-motion modes — Basic, Expert and Ground Anomaly & Cavity — along with three motion modes: All Metal, Fast and Deep. This provides flexibility for different detecting and scanning applications.
Multi-Frequency VLF Technology
The Invenio Pro operates using 5 kHz, 14 kHz and 20 kHz frequencies and provides automatic, manual and tracking ground balance. It also includes 00–99 Target ID, 01–99 sensitivity adjustment, Iron Audio, Tone Break, Notch Filter, Pinpoint and Frequency Shift.
Large 7-Inch Colour Display
The system features a 7-inch 800 × 480 RGB TFT display for viewing detection and imaging information. Screen backlighting and a built-in LED flashlight also allow the Invenio Pro to be used in low-light conditions.

Nokta Invenio Pro Questions, Answered
How much is the Nokta Invenio Pro?
£5,999.95. It is by some distance the dearest Nokta we stock, because it is a detector and an imaging system rather than a detector alone. See the rest of the range on our Nokta page.
What does the imaging actually show me?
The estimated shape, depth and dimensions of a buried target, rather than a tone and a number. Knowing that something is coin shaped at eight inches against box shaped at three feet changes whether you dig it, and that is what you are paying for.
What is the IPTU?
The Integrated Positional Tracking Unit. It tracks where the search coil moves during a scan, which is what lets the system build a map of the area rather than report isolated signals. Without position tracking there is no image.
Can it find cavities as well as metal?
Yes, it detects ground anomalies and cavities such as potential caves and tunnels, with dedicated scanning modes for that separately from metal detection. That makes it genuinely useful for archaeology rather than only for treasure.
What are the six search modes?
Three non motion modes, Basic, Expert and Ground Anomaly and Cavity, plus three motion modes. Having both families on one machine is unusual and is the reason it can sweep ground and then assess a target properly.
What frequencies does it run?
5, 14 and 20kHz VLF, with 00 to 99 Target ID and a 7 inch colour display. The display size matters more than it sounds, because you are reading images in daylight rather than glancing at a number.
How does it compare with a 3D ground scanner?
A scanner such as the Groundtech GR-4 at £1,750 surveys deep ground but will not find coins. The Invenio Pro works as a normal detector and images what it finds. Different jobs, and the Invenio is the one you can still hunt with.
Who should buy one?
Someone doing serious cache, treasure or archaeological work who wants imaging without carrying two instruments. For ordinary coin and relic hunting it is a great deal of money, and the Legend at £799.95 will find the same coins.
