The Nokta Impact operates across 5 kHz, 14 kHz and 20 kHz, allowing users to select the frequency that best suits their detecting requirements. This makes it a versatile choice for general metal detecting, relic hunting and searches where different target types and ground conditions need different settings.
The Impact provides 12 search modes, including non-motion, All Metal and discrimination modes. These settings give detectorists greater flexibility when searching for coins, relics and deeper targets in locations such as fields, parks and wet beach sand.
With 00–99 Target ID, Iron Volume, Tone Break and Notch Filter, the Impact provides detailed target analysis and discrimination. Automatic, manual and tracking ground balance helps users adapt the detector to changing ground conditions.

The Legend runs simultaneous multi frequency. The Impact runs three selectable frequencies at 5, 14 and 20kHz but offers 12 search modes against the Legend’s five. If you want maximum adjustability take the Impact. If you want the ground handled for you, take the Legend.
Because they include non motion, All Metal and several discrimination modes. Non motion in particular is unusual on a machine at this price, and it is what lets you assess a single deep target properly rather than only sweeping.
5kHz suits large and deep silver, 14kHz is the general purpose choice, and 20kHz lifts sensitivity to smaller targets and gold. Choosing per site rather than per sweep is the working method.
00 to 99 Target ID, with Iron Volume, Tone Break and a Notch Filter, plus automatic, manual and tracking ground balance. Iron Volume in particular is worth learning: turning iron down rather than off keeps you aware of it without being deafened.
Gain runs 01 to 99 and controls amplification. More gain finds deeper targets and more noise. Backing it off on a hot site is often what makes faint deep signals audible, which sounds backwards until you try it.
