Geoground

Geoground Detectors

In short. Geoground build two deep seeking prospecting systems: the Gold Legend at £3,499 and the Gold Vision at £4,950. Both are survey instruments for prospecting ground rather than machines for an afternoon in a field.

The name gets written both ways, Geoground and Geo Ground, and it is the same manufacturer either way. This is a small range and a clear decision. The Gold Legend is the deep seeking detector, the Gold Vision adds 3D imaging so you can see the shape of what you have found before you dig. Beyond the price, that imaging is the whole difference.

The Two Systems

Gold Legend, £3,499The Gold Legend is a deep seeking prospecting machine with simple controls and genuine depth on larger targets.
Gold Vision, £4,950The Gold Vision adds 3D imaging, so a signal becomes a picture of depth and shape rather than a tone.
Which to chooseIf you are prospecting unknown ground and want to assess before excavating, the Gold Vision earns its extra £1,451. If you know the ground, the Legend is enough.
What neither will doFind coins and jewellery at hobby depths. For that, a £250 coil machine is both better and far lighter.

Geoground Questions, Answered

What is the difference between the Gold Legend and Gold Vision?

The Legend is a deep seeking detector. The Vision adds 3D imaging, so instead of a tone you get a representation of the target’s depth and shape. That is worth the difference if you are surveying ground you do not know.

How deep do Geoground systems reach?

Metres, on substantial targets and in cooperative ground. As with every system in this class, the quoted maximum assumes a large mass in ideal conditions, not a coin.

Are these suitable for UK detecting?

They work here, but they are built for prospecting rather than British coin and relic hunting. Most UK permissions are better served by a coil machine. We will say so before you spend £3,499.

Is training included?

Yes. Setup, calibration and a walk through come with both systems, and we remain available afterwards.

Do you handle the warranty in Britain?

Yes, as the UK dealer, so a fault is a phone call here rather than an international shipment.
