The Minelab Safari is a multi-frequency metal detector powered by Minelab’s Full Band Spectrum (FBS) technology. Designed for coin, relic, jewellery and general treasure hunting, the Safari simultaneously transmits across a broad frequency range of 1.5–100 kHz, helping provide accurate target identification across different ground conditions.
The Safari uses Minelab’s FBS technology to transmit multiple frequencies simultaneously. This allows the detector to analyse a broader range of target responses than a single-frequency detector, helping with target identification, sensitivity and detection depth.
The Safari provides dedicated modes for different types of detecting, including Coin, Coin & Jewellery, Relic and All Metal, along with Pinpoint functionality. Custom discrimination patterns can also be programmed to help users reject unwanted targets while searching for coins, jewellery and relics.
The Safari features Target ID numbers, Tone ID and adjustable discrimination, giving users useful information about detected targets before deciding whether to dig. Its automatic ground compensation and digital filtering are designed to reduce the effects of ground mineralisation.
The Safari is designed for detecting across a range of environments, including parks, fields and saltwater beaches. Its 11-inch Double-D search coil is waterproof, but the Safari control box itself is not waterproof, so the complete detector should not be submerged.
