Next Labs Detectors

Next Labs Detectors

In short. Next Labs build specialist locators rather than general detectors. Each unit is tuned to one target class: groundwater, gold, or gemstones. The range runs £389 to £6,999.

This is a range worth understanding before buying, because the units are not interchangeable. A groundwater locator will not find coins and a gemstone locator will not find water. Picking by price rather than by target is the commonest and most expensive mistake here.

What Each Unit Is For

Air MD, £389The Air MD is the conventional machine in the range, and the only one here that behaves like a normal detector.
Water Fall, £2,100Water Fall locates groundwater and voids at depth, for well siting and borehole work rather than treasure.
Blue Diamond, £2,150Blue Diamond is a gemstone locator. It responds to the dielectric signature of stones rather than to metal.
River systems, £2,250 to £6,999River-F Smart £2,250 and the River G 3 Systems £6,999, the deepest water locating units we stock.

Choosing Between Them

Looking for waterWater Fall at £2,100 for shallower siting work, River G 3 at £6,999 where you need real depth. See our water detectors page.
Looking for goldThe long range and 3D systems in our GER and UIG range are better suited, and the Aurelian at £2,200 sits between the two approaches.
Looking for gemstonesBlue Diamond is the specialist unit, and it is a genuinely niche tool. See diamond and gemstone detectors.
Looking for coins and relicsNone of these. Buy a coil machine from our most popular range instead, and spend the difference on permissions and petrol.

Why Buy From Us

Official UK dealerWarranty handled here rather than shipped abroad, with spares held in the UK.
We use this kitWe survey with these systems ourselves, so the advice comes from the field rather than the brochure.
Honest about limitsLong range equipment is often oversold. We will tell you plainly what a system can and cannot do.
Training and setupSet up, calibration and a walk through of the software included with every professional system.

These are specialist purchases and we would rather have a conversation than take an order blind. Tell us what you are looking for and the ground you are working, and we will tell you which unit fits or whether none of them do.

Next Labs Questions, Answered

What are Next Labs detectors used for?

Specialist location work rather than hobby detecting. The range covers groundwater siting, long range gold location and gemstone detection. Only the Air MD behaves like a conventional metal detector.

Can a water detector find metal as well?

Not usefully. A groundwater locator is tuned to the electrical signature of water bearing strata and voids. It is a different measurement from metal detection and the two do not substitute.

How deep do these units reach?

The water locating systems are quoted in hundreds of metres for aquifers, because they are reading geological structure rather than discrete objects. Those figures cannot be compared with a detector’s depth on a coin.

Do gemstone detectors really work?

They respond to the dielectric properties of crystalline material, so the physics is real, but performance depends heavily on ground conditions and operator skill. We are happy to talk through what to realistically expect before you commit.

Which unit is best for a first professional purchase?

It depends entirely on your target. For water, the Water Fall at £2,100. For general long range survey, look at the GER and UIG range instead. There is no sensible all rounder in this category.

Is training included?

Yes. Setup, calibration and a walk through come with every professional system, and we stay available afterwards rather than handing over a box.
