The sX-WP arrives in three, with an extra 62 by 101 by 12cm case at 4kg, and its net weight rises to 63kg against the 60 to 61kg of the rest. The frame and the passage are unchanged, so the additional material is protective rather than structural.
At £4,625 it is £1,526 above the sX, which is the largest single step in the range. A jump that size normally reflects a different build specification rather than a tuning change, and the extra case is consistent with that.
We would rather be precise than imply things, so: ask us for the environmental rating and the ingress protection figure before you order this for an outdoor position. We will get it in writing from ThruScan. An archway bought for a gate and then found to need a canopy is an expensive misunderstanding.

The archway itself takes an ordinary mains feed, but outdoors the supply, the socket and the cable route all need to be installed to the appropriate standard by an electrician. That is a separate job from the detector and worth pricing early.
A flat, stable, free draining base. Grass and gravel move, and an archway that shifts between events is one that needs re checking every time. A small area of hardstanding usually pays for itself in the first season.
Yes, and for a seasonal gate that is often sensible. Store it dry and indoors over winter, and plan on re commissioning the sensitivity when it goes back out, since the surroundings may have changed.
At 63kg it is not casually carried off, but it is visible, valuable and sitting at a gate. If it stays out overnight, think about lighting, anchoring and who holds responsibility for it between events.
An upright frame in an exposed position catches wind, and that is worth raising with us when you describe the site. It affects how it should be anchored far more than it affects the detection.
The published ambient range is minus 20 to plus 70 degrees Celsius. Temperature and water ingress are different questions though, which is exactly why the weather rating is the figure to get in writing.
