Detection Modes

Gold Stinger X5 metal detector has two different search modes or Detection Modes that the user can use for different detection purposes:

• – All Metals Mode : The general metal detection mode that can be used to detect all kinds of metal , used best for coin shooting or small relic hunting
• – Discrimination Mode: The detection mode best used for gold prospecting and treasure detection
• – Pinpointer Mode : this mode pinpoint and find the exact location of potential buried targets during excavation and gives an audible feedback

All Metals Mode

All Metal detection mode is the preferred mode for detection of small size targets located at the ground surface at small depths, examples include such as coins and tiny gold nuggets and small relics or jewelry.

In this mode, Gold Stinger X5 offer also a powerful metal discrimination feature that let the prospector know the detected target precisely based on numerical value displayed on its screen called Numerical Target Identity or for short Target ID.

The numerical Target ID is displayed on the screen, accompanied by the Target ID Scale, which is a graduated curve with values ranging from 0 to 99 and divided into three sections of different colors (yellow – red – green).

These three colors corresponding to a specific type of targets, the digital value of the Target ID with color indication gives the prospector a clear idea on the nature of the detected target.

This mode enable user to adjust many variables and settings such as ZB Filter , Hot rocks feature, Turbo Mode and Sensitivity to get best performance for detecting of different targets in various ground conditions and terrain.

ZB Filter

ZB filter provides a healthy search by filtering interference and sounds in mineral soils and wet ground soils

This option is useful to focus the search on precious metals and gold only and ignore the signals of targets made from non-precious metals.

This option can be set within a specific value within a range so that the higher the value, the lower the probability of discovering worthless targets.

Therefore, it is possible for the user to set it to filter received signals and increase the probability of detecting valuable targets.

HOT ROCK Option

Hot rocks are any rock or piece of stone that does not contain precious metal mineral (gold, silver, or copper for example), but when passing over it by a metal detector, it gives sound signals similar to the signals of these metals.

This feature of the Stinger X5 metal detector is useful in filtering and reducing these signals in order to obtain more accurate and reliable results and to avoid the detection of valueless metal targets.

Turbo Mode Option

When using the All Metal detection mode, this option, when activated by user by increasing its value, provides the possibility of detecting targets at depths greater by 30%, which increases the possibility of discovering valuable treasures.

The user can increase or decrease the sensitivity value depending on the soil structure.

Sensitivity Efficiency

As you increase the numbers, it provides extra depth to the device, allowing you to detect gold, coins, objects and jewelry 10% deeper. As you decrease the numbers, it will not affected by the mineral structures in the soil

Discrimination Mode

This detection mode is a powerful mode for detection of different targets including buried objects made of gold such as golden coins, jewelry and natural gold or deep treasures to an extreme depth.

This detection mode offer great metal discrimination feature for four target categories including:

Gold – Precious Metal (non-Ferrous) – Non Precious Metal (Ferrous) – Voids

In this detection mode the device screen, display a 2D graphical visualization of detected targets signals as variable 2D graph with different color that match specific target type.

Pinpointer Mode

The device integrate Pinpointer functionality to pinpoint and find the exact location of potential buried targets during excavation without need for separate Pinpointer device, user will definitely not lost or miss the location of the targets by using Pinpoint function via Pinpoint button to find the exact point of the target location.

Automatic Ground Balance

Gold Stinger X5 automatic ground balance feature is designed in automatic and easy-to-understand English so that a person who has never used a detector can use his professional detector in seconds to find buried targets.

Depth Indicator
